Tacoma Film Festival Closing Night: To The Stars with director Martha Stephens
October 10th 7:00pm - 10:00pm
Closing the 2019 Tacoma Film Festival is TO THE STARS (2019 Sundance Film Festival official selection), a drama that follows, in director Martha Stephens' words, "a timid and cloistered teen girl’s coming of age in 1961 Oklahoma as she develops her first authentic friendship with a restless and enigmatic new girl."
"Tenderly rendered but with a powerful impact, director Martha Stephens' coming-of-age drama TO THE STARS is a luminous tale of teen girls discovering themselves on the harsh prairies of Oklahoma." — Sean P. Means, The Movie Cricket
MEET THE DIRECTOR
Martha Stephens will be in attendance and will participate in a post-film Q&A.
