Being Thunder
Sherente Harris, a two-spirit genderqueer teenager from the Narragansett tribe in Rhode Island, boldly challenges the status quo of what it means to be a queer Indigenous person in a world bound by binary gender roles.<div><br></div><div>Presented with Tahoma Indian Center as a part of Sovereign Cinema—a film series centering Indigenous stories of reclamation, resistance, and resilience. This special Pride edition will feature an in-theater preshow from local drag performer, Cherri Bepsi! After the screening, gather with us in the Lounge over refreshments, community art, and resource sharing.
