Here at The Grand, we prioritize fun, delight, and coming together as communities and families during this time of year.
How do we do it? You will be unsurprised that the answer is: through amazing movies! Check out all the wonderful films we're offering to enhance your festivities this year:
Last year, we hosted our first ever White Christmas sing-along and it was an immediate hit. Friends and family, young and old, came together to croon with Bing, Rosemary, Danny, and Vera-Ellen.
Join in this year; we have lots of screenings still upcoming and we recommend getting your tickets in advance. White Christmas sing-alongs: Wednesday Dec 14 6:30 pm; Thursday Dec 15 6:30 pm; and Thurs Dec 22 1:30 & 6:30 pm.
Did you know that every month we show a FREE movie? It's true, we do!
On the third Saturday of each month, we screen a family film in our Columbia Bank supported Free Family Flick series. Join us Saturday December 17 at 10 am for a free screening of the heartwarming and zany movie Elf!
I wrote last year, "there aren't a lot of truly great Christmas movies - and there are definitely not a lot of truly great Finnish action/horror/family Christmas movies. Lucky for us, Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale is all of those things!" And I stand by that statement.
This will be the sixth year The Grand has shared this fantastical film as a holiday treat. Tickets are already moving, so. Arrive early for treats, seasonal craft beers and ciders, and photos with creepy Santa.
As critic Felix Velasquez puts it, Miracle on 34th Street is "one of the few perfect and genuinely emotional Christmas movies that will live on forever." This magical holiday gem earns the December spot in our Classic Film Series. Make time for the radiant 1947 fantasy on December 21, 1:45 & 6:45 pm.
We're getting irreverent the day after Christmas with our second annual screening of Monty Python's cult classic Life of Brian. Enjoy a bit of a holiday palate cleanser with this masterful, lampooning film (and help us keep our new traditions thriving) on December 26, 6:30 pm!
From our family to yours, happy holidays from The Grand Cinema!
