Springtime is an interesting season for movies at The Grand. The hubbub of awards are over, no one is bashing you over the head with summer hits, and some memorable films get quietly released. These films tend to hold their own better than the average movie and have an often distinct, not-your-run-of-the-mill personality to boot.
Traditions define the holiday season; sometimes resulting in a lot of fun, and sometimes trapping us into obligatory events where fun is not even a part of the equation.
At the end of each year we ask you to consider a meaningful donation to help keep the nonprofit Grand Cinema growing and thriving.
Every year we like to use this opportunity to connect with our supporters, to learn more about why they love The Grand, and to share those perspectives. This year, we sat down with volunteers, board members, and staff to hear their stories. Through December, you will here from Van, Winnie, Heather, Bernadette, Katy, Jason, Ken, Lu, and Christopher in our theaters and on social media, sharing why they care about the work of The Grand Cinema.

The relationship between The Grand and its members is symbiotic: members see films on our screens that are hard to find elsewhere, and enjoy all the extra bonuses that come along with membership.
