Micah True and the Copper Canyon Ultra Marathon were subjects in the best-selling book 'Born to Run - A Hidden Tribe, Superathletes & the greatest Race the World has Never Seen' by Christopher McDougall.

The Tacoma Runners is a social running club in Tacoma. The club began in January 2010 when seven runners went out for an easy run. Twelve showed up the next week. The club has had several thousand runners join in for events since then. Once, the Tacoma Runners hosted a speaking engagement from Micah True, and Caballo Blanco went on a group run with them.
