Cats
Comedy, Drama, Family | 2019 | PG. 1hr 50min
Closed Captioning | Audio Description CAST: Jennifer Hudson, Judi Dench, Taylor Swift DIRECTOR: Tom Hooper WEIRD ELEPHANT SERIES

A tribe of cats called the Jellicles must decide yearly which one will ascend to the Heaviside Layer and come back to a new Jellicle life.

A LIVELY SCREENING Pre-Party. BEGINS AT 10PM:

We have heard from on "high" that Cats is now the midnight movie for the ages. Our weird community must dip our paws (well, human hands) into this CGI-drenched swirly Jellicles' milk and lap it up!

What's a "lively" screening? Talk back to the screen! Meow and hiss! Sing! Say "what the hell was that?" to your heart's content. Commun with Jennifer Hudson in a way you never thought possible! Trust! You'll be alive with pleasure along with your junkyard cat chums.

Here's what we'll also do: a Cats pre-party.

Dress up like Cats in whatever way we can. (gotta find my Tony the Tiger mask I guess). Paper cat ears and some mascara whiskers? Good. Full fur suit? You are ON! Oh yeah we have local beer and wine for the kitties per usual.

SHOW UP an hour early at 10pm BE-CUZ:
WE. ARE. HAVING. A...."MEMORY" KARAOKE CONTEST WITH MEGA PRIZES! Posters! Gift Certificates! Announcements for prizes TBD watch this space. Bonus prize for best Cats costume.

Each contestant will pre-signup by messaging us here. 5 contestants total. First come, first sign.

Hey it's new! Just imagine, a room full of everyone meowing around while you belt out MEMORY in front of your most CATTY pals...and then you'll slink over to the theater and have your eyes blasted out by the movie everyone  (well Travis Burgess from sacredwall.com) is calling "a nonsense show. It is an affront to God in every way, shape and form, and its very existence goes against nature. And for that reason, it is one of the most entertaining, fun experiences I've had at the theatre all year. It is a special kind of film, an unreviewable kind."

Our kind.

Reviews
The movie is outlandish and sexual and confusing. But that doesn't make it a bad movie. In fact, I'm going to call it a good movie.
David Oliver, USA Today
It's just baffling and yet it must be seen... It's bad, but you've got to experience it.
