Bulletproof Film Still

What does it mean to be safe in school in the United States? Safe from what, and from whom? Bulletproof poses and complicates these questions through a provocative exploration of fear and American violence.

"An artfully meditative, fly-over view of the military, entrepreneurial and educational effects of the American school shooting phenomenon… its measured observational style often evokes one of Frederick Wiseman’s institutional documentaries, although it is far more free-roaming." (POV Magazine)

COVID-19 GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURES

As The Grand prepares to reopen to the public, please know that the health and safety of our patrons, staff and volunteers is our biggest priority. Below is an abbreviated list of procedures we have in place to help protect our film-loving community. Please read the guidelines and procedures in full here.
  • Masks are mandatory.
  • Concessions stand is closed.
  • All employees and volunteers will be screened for symptoms.
  • Each theater will be limited to 25% capacity.
  • We have instituted assigned seating. Online tickets are highly recommended as we are operating at a reduced capacity. If you are purchasing tickets at the box office, we ask that you come prepared with a card for payment rather than cash.

Presented by the (mostly virtual) 15th Tacoma Film Festival, November 6–15, 2020. Explore the lineup and more at tacomafilmfestival.com.
