THE VELDT
This new VR/360 film experience at the Tacoma Film Festival - is curated by Nathaniel Luke Pinzon & Kim Voynar of WonderTek Labs. Named for the classic 1950 Ray Bradbury short story, The Veldt will feature five different films including an interactive HTC Vive experience. Fablab Tacoma will be on hand to help you build your own VR cardboard goggles, and you can enter to win a pair of limited-edition handmade, plywood VR goggles - we will have a winner each day.

THE VISITOR | Explores a woman’s psyche as she waits in the desert for her greatest fear to arrive. Filmmakers: James Kaelan and Blessing Yen
ASHES | A 360 degree story exploring love and loss as told through dance and gesture. Filmmaker: Jessica Kantor
HAUNT | A short virtual reality film about presence, experienced through the eyes of a ghost. Filmmaker: Lilian Mehrel
NEURAL PATH | Tells the story of a young woman who seeks revenge by kidnapping and drugging the man who robbed her, taking him on a surreal trip of redemption. Filmmaker: Michaella Vu
MARIMBA | A musical virtual reality experience in which the user gets to play the Latin mallet instrument: marimba. Filmmaker: Evie Powell
