SOLD OUT: 253-Short Film Competition Kick Off

Calling all filmmakers!
If you are an established or aspiring filmmaker, we want to feature your work with our annual 253 Short Film Competition (formerly known as the 72 Hour Competition).
31 teams will have 72 hours to create a short film (no more than 253-seconds in length). Teams sign up in advance and show up at The Grand on Thursday March 21st at 6:30 p.m. to receive the details of this year's film criteria (four mystery criteria will be announced.
Teams who submit their completed film to The Grand by the deadline (Sunday April 24 at 7:00 p.m.) enter for chances to win cash prizes, and all films will be shown at the 253 Short Film Party before an audience of hundreds on May 6, 2016.
Prizes Include:
- Jury Award: $500 cash
- Audience Choice Award: $500 cash
- "Best Use" of a required criteria
- Prize for best competition-phase storytelling using #253seconds
- Screening at the Northwest Film Forum's Local Sightings Festival if your project wins Jury Award or Audience Choice Award
