Join the Tacoma Film Festival at The Patio at Alma Mater for a FREE outdoors, socially distanced screening and panel discussion of Since I Been Down, a documentary by award-winning filmmaker Gilda Sheppard. The discussion will be live from Alma Mater's Fawcett Hall venue, but will be livestream projected into The Patio for the audience to watch. **Please note that this event is not ticketed and is first come, first served for seating. 

There will be three screens throughout The Patio restaurant for the audience to view the documentary and panel discussion. The panel discussion will be live from Alma Mater's Fawcett Hall venue, but will be livestream projected into The Patio for the audience to watch. Since I Been Down is a social justice documentary by award-winning filmmaker Gilda Sheppard. The film takes Tacoma, WA—with a particular focus on the Hilltop—as subject, chronicling how gangs, fear, racism, and power arrested the development of one American community.
