BIRTHDAYS, CORPORATE FUNCTIONS AND NON-PROFITS
Please read all the information below as we have tried our best to cover all situations. Inevitably, we have missed something so please feel free to contact the Grand Cinema staff directly with any questions and to BOOK YOUR NEXT EVENT - 253.572.6062.
CORPORATE FUNCTIONS
(i.e. meetings, retreats, employee parties, customer appreciation parties, etc.)
Rental Fee - $275
Non-refundable deposit of $50 to hold a date (this will be subtracted from the total rental fee).
* You can bring in your own food - but we encourage you to look at our "Concessions deals" at the bottom for your popcorn and soda needs.
* You are responsible for cleaning up
Monday - Thursday rentals (non-holidays):
- Doors open as early as 9:00 a.m.
- Rental is limited to three hours (movie + approximately 1 hour of meeting time).
- You are responsible for choosing your own movie to play and supply the DVD/Blu-Ray
- Structure of meeting/party and watching the movie can be flexible since our first weekday films open to the public usually around 1:30-2:00 p.m.
- The lower lobby is where the meeting/party can take place. This area can fit between 40-60 people depending on sitting/standing layout.
- You can always use a theater for your meeting, too. The theaters range from 75-107 capacity.
- The Grand Cinema can provide 6 ft. tables and folding chairs.
Friday - Saturday rentals (+ holidays):
Doors open as early as 9:00 a.m.
- You are responsible for choosing your own movie to play

Depending on the length of your movie choice, we will have to adapt when to start the film.
- Movie needs to end by 11:30 a.m. as we usually open to the public between 11:45 a.m. - noon.
- After the movie, you can meet in the lower lobby for discussion, eating, etc.
- The lower lobby can fit between 40-60 people depending on sitting/standing layout.
- You can always use a theater for your meeting. The theaters range from 75-107 capacity.
- The Grand Cinema can provide 6 ft. tables and folding chairs.
* If you wish to view one of our CURRENT films in a private screening, the $275 fee is good to host up to 30 people (additional $6/person after 30). This is good during our non-regular business hours (see current film rentals for regular business hour rentals).
BIRTHDAY PARTIES
(for all ages!)
Rental fee - $175
Non-refundable deposit of $50 to hold a date (this will be subtracted from the total rental).
Friday - Sunday rentals:
- Party begins at 9:00 a.m.
- Movie starts at 9:30 a.m.
- You are responsible for supplying the movie of your choice. (Suggestion: choose a film that is around 90 minutes in length.)
- After the movie ends, you can celebrate in the lower lobby (1 hour)
- You can bring in your own cake, snacks and beverages.
- We can provide 6 ft tables and folding chairs.
- The movie will be shown in theater #4 which holds 75 people.
- The lower lobby holds comfortably 60 people (adults/children mix; standing & sitting).
Monday - Thursday rentals: see above Fri-Sat. rental information, but with these additions:
- Parties can begin between 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
- We can be flexible with the movie start time, and when you "celebrate" the birthday.
- Most films start around 2:00pm on weekdays which allows for more time flexibility.
NON-PROFIT RENTALS
Rental fee - $175

RENTALS DURING REGULAR MOVIE HOURS
To rent one of our theaters during regular movie hours and watch a current film playing at the Grand (not available Friday or Saturday nights from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.)
- Pay the price to buy out the theater - $9.00 (or $7.00 during matinee times - before 4:00 p.m. on weekends/holidays; before 6:00 p.m. on weekdays) times the number of seats in the theater. EXAMPLE: Rental of theater #4: 75 seats X $9.00 = $637.50
To rent one of our theaters during REGULAR MOVIE HOURS & WATCH YOUR OWN DVD, please call as we will look at each situation on a case-by-case basis.
SCHOOL GROUPS
- If interested in bringing in your own DVD, you fall under the non-profit rate and the information under Corporate Functions.
- If interested in watching a current film during NON-MOVIE hours: price = $5/person.
