"Grindhouse Theater" is a monthly late night film series presented by The Grand Cinema, hosted by film programmer & projectionist, Justin Giallo. Featuring screenings of horror, cult & exploitation films on rare glorious 35mm prints!
In a time when digital film prints are taking over, it's crucial that we do not forget our cinematic past & see genre films the way they should be seen. We want to give Grindhouse fans the chance to see their favorite films in their original format. If we can't get a film on 35mm for the film series, we WON'T play it. Expect more than just a regular film screening & more of an event including horror/exploitation trailers before every screening, free raffles, costume & trivia contests with prizes from our official sponsors: "Crypticon Seattle," "Cult Collectibles," "Rotten Cotton," "Fangoria Magazine", "Zorch Radio", & "Creepycult"!!! Sometimes we might even have surprise appearances by the directors, cast, and crew of the films being shown in person or live via Skype!
So come on down to The Grand Cinema & experience a little piece of 42nd Street style cinema yourself.
