Support independent film by donating your airline miles and/or providing a resting space for a visiting filmmaker during TFF 2016.

Ever wanted to spend time with a filmmaker? Now is your chance: The Tacoma Film Festival is 

bringing dozens of up-and-coming filmmakers to town October 6-13, 2016 and they all need places to rest at various times throughout the week. Overnight stays will last approximately 1-4 days.

HOST A FILMMAKER

If you like sharing hospitality and have an extra bedroom, finished basement, garage or studio, hosting a filmmaker is a great way to support the festival and get involved with our film-loving community. Our housing budget is minimal, and this program will help support bringing as many filmmakers as possible to Tacoma!

WHAT'S REQUIRED OF ME?

Most of the time the filmmakers will be at the festival screening films and attending TFF events, so there will be a minimal time commitment. You will not be required to provide transportation or food.

BENEFITS TO YOU

If you choose to host one or more filmmakers, or donate miles to fly filmmakers here, you will earn up to two free VIP passes to the entire festival and two invites to the VIP filmmaker event on Sunday October 9.

Have airline miles languishing away? Donating them to a filmmaker so they can attend the festival is an easy way to support TFF. Our travel budget is very limited, so if you have the spare miles, you can serve as an essential part of our film-loving community and bring some of the most talented emerging filmmakers to our festival.

PARTNER WITH US

This is the first time we have offered this program, so you have a chance to launch it with us! Join in our mission to share independent films in the Tacoma area by helping filmmakers to make it to Tacoma or by giving a filmmaker a place to rest and recharge during TFF 2016. You might make a connection with someone whose current or next project gets released with even wider recognition.

Past visiting filmmakers to TFF have included David Lowery (Director, Pete’s Dragon), Julia Garner (Actor, Grandma), and Ben Sinclair and Katja Blichfeld (Creators, High Maintenance, HBO Series).
