Tacoma Film Festival Poster Design Contest

May 30, 2012 - Jul 6, 2012, 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

AND THE WINNER IS….

The Tacoma Film Festival announces poster contest winner

The winning Tacoma Film Festival poster design has officially been chosen for the 2012 event. The Grand Cinema is proud to announce the winning design by Cameron Taylor (see attached design).

It is never an easy task choosing from over 70 submissions of amazing graphic design work, but it has to be done each and every year for the Tacoma Film Festival. The poster contest is just as much a tradition as the festival itself. Entries were received from many local artists along with some worldwide entries this year (Jamaica, India and France). The talent selection was incredible.

“This year’s poster is all about design,” says Philip Cowan, Grand Cinema’s Executive Director. “It takes samples of the Pacific Northwest and combines it with the idea of experiencing film, which is what a film festival is all about – experience.”

Thank you to the panel of judges along with our loyal Grand Cinema patrons for giving us your feedback that ultimately led to the winning choice.

Thank you to each and every artist who submitted a design. The Grand Cinema is very lucky to have such great supporters that are willing to share their talent.
