253 Short Film Party

31 Teams of local filmmakers are given 72 hours to create an original short film lasting no more than 253 seconds in length and incorporate four surprise elements that will be announced April 26, 2018. 

This party premiers all 31 films and is one of the most lively film events of the year in Pierce County. Kick back and enjoy a collection of locally made short films and support the filmmakers on their big night!

Join the fun with: 

  • Audience Choice Voting: vote for the film you think is most deserving of the Audience Choice Award and cash prize  
  • Door Prizes: enter to win one of several giveaways simply by being at the event
  • Local Eats: enjoy locally made pizza, desserts and snacks for purchase
  • Local Drinks: snag a glass of beer or wine to wash down dinner 
  • Photo Booth: capture memories in an interactive photo booth with friends and filmmakers

Ticket Info

Event tickets are available in advance at The Grand Cinema's box office and online. Online sales will end at 2 PM on Friday, May 11 and remaining tickets will be available at The Grand's box office or at door at Urban Grace starting at 5:30 PM. Seating is first come, first served. 

Advance Tickets: $15 General Admission, $13 Members of The Grand
Day of Tickets: $18 General Admission, $16 Members of The Grand


Will Call
Tickets purchased in advance are available for pick up at Will Call in The Grand Cinema's box office until the early afternoon of the event. Will Call will re-open at 5:30 PM at Urban Grace when the doors open to the public.
